Mail for Riverdale Park Station

If you are currently living at Riverdale Park Station all of the mail is going to and staying at the sorting station that is right behind the Whole Foods.   I created a ticket with the post office about this back when I moved in but there still has not been any resolution.   Although that building is not open to the public if you go in there and ask real nice they will give you your mail.

  1. Do you know when they will actually start delivering mail? Any updates on Comcast or Verizon yet?

    1. I have a ticket open with the post office for the whole community and they said they would call tomorrow.

    2. Great! Thanks for advocating! How about Verizon or Comcast? Any news?

    3. Stanley Martin is saying as of tomorrow we will be able to get internet but there have been a few days in the past we have heard this (6/5, 6/12, 6/19) so I am waiting until I call Comcast and they say yes to post to the blog. I think it's not their fault as they are at the mercy of Comcast.

    4. Called Comcast and still no internet can be installed... Called Post Office and they are still working on the mail "situation".

    5. I called Comcast today and I was told that services would be another 60 to 90 days.

    6. That is Comcast's default answer.... 60-90 days... but Stanley Martin said the line was run on 6/22 and we should be able to get internet now. I have someone from Comcast coming out to check if the line is there.

  4. My husband has been in contact with someone at Verizon and he's saying at least 4-6 weeks for anyone interested. We may see if we can hold off til then.

    1. I can't wait 4-6 more weeks. Since Stanley Martin said Comcast ran a line on 6/22 I am hoping that Comcast just does not have the addresses in their system yet or something.

    2. I cannot believe that Stanley Martin did not try to get these issues ironed out for residents as the neighborhood was getting started at the beginning of the year. While I understand that MAYBE they had limited control over Verizon/Comcast, the mail and trash should've been done. And if any residents work from home or are students not having the internet is a hassle. This seems poorly managed.

    5. Thanks for the info although at this point I feel for both the Post Office, Trash and Comcast I am always told it will happen next week.

  5. I saw two Verizon cars parked on the street yesterday during the day, so hopefully this means things will move forward quickly!

    1. Verizon now has all of the occupied addresses in their system and service is available for purchase online. They told me installation would be scheduled in the next 3-4 weeks.

Those Verizon cars were their engineers finalizing their design... I have been in direct contact them because I have had trouble with Comcast in the past.
