The sculpture is called "Soul of Words 1 and Soul of Words 2" by Jaume Plensa.
This is from the same guy who did the Crown Fountain at
Millennium Park in Chicago.
It’s a pretty big deal that Riverdale Park got a sculpture
by him.
They also mounted a plane above the icehouse… it is the ERCO Ercoupe that they were building at Riverdale Park station back in the 1940’s. Here is a good story about the history of the Ercoupe.
