That's funny b/c when I called Verizon I was told that it was pretty simple process. The builder is to notify them in the early construction phase (i.e. when planning a brand new community) to say they would like their residents to have the option of having Verizon service. Not scramble after homeowners have gone to settlement and moved into their homes. Nevertheless, this builder has dropped the ball on many other issues. It's been a 3-ring circus in my opinion.
Yes. The ball has definitely been dropped on a lot of things not just community services but the entire process. Customer service is lacking especially after they commit people to contract. I have lost a lot of confidence in this company and their promises. Very disappointing.
Have you had an opportunity to meet your neighbors or see who else is moving in/buying? We are considering Riverdale Park and have two kids and we're curious if there are mostly young families, young professionals, a mix? We were also hoping for a diverse community. Any info you can share would be great!
I have met 5 of the families in building two and it's mainly young families. Everyone appears to be in their 30's with two of the couples I have met having young kids... It is also a diverse group aside from the ages being similar. We really like our neighbors.
For a company that boasts 50 years of home building on its website, they seem to be operating and managing as amateurs.
ReplyDeleteHonestly I work for Verizon and new communities have it the toughest I see it all the time so it isn't necessarily the builders fault.

DeleteCurious what building you are in and what problems you are facing. By the way I am going to be the first one with internet on Friday.
DeleteAgreed!
